Probably, thanks to very high reputation in 1991 in it would seem already forgotten legend have inhaled a new life. In design studio Volkswagen to California (USA) the manager of studio Dzhej Mejs and designer Frimen Thomas have decided to create the car which would remind Beetle in its best traditions and differed modern design and a design. The conceptual variant of new "Bug" has been presented on a motor show in Detroit in 1994. Responses of public have appeared rather flatter, and Volkswagen has made the decision on a batch production of new model which all has begun in the same Mexico. The new car which has received name New Beetle, has been equipped by 2,0-litre engine SOHC power of 115 h.p., a 5-step mechanical or 4-step automatic gear box, completely an independent suspension. On New Beetle it was possible to install also the excellent diesel engine in volume of 1,9 litres and power of 90 h.p. In 1999 the standard complete set of the car included system ABS. By then the variant 1,8T with a 4-cylinder diesel engine in volume of 1,8 litres and power of 150 h.p. already was issued. Occurrence of sports variant New Beetle - Turbo S became the major news of 2002. Power of this model has made already 180 horsepowers, 6-step mechanical transmission has been installed. To be dispersed to 100 km/h, it is required to model 2002 of only 8 seconds. But the model has got the true charm in 2003 when the manufacturer has decided to transform New Beetle into a cabriolet. Certainly, even the advanced car any more so is popular, as in days of the blossoming. Beetle never was neither high-speed, nor the representation car. But it always had a reputation of reliable and qualitative means of transportation for those who loves eccentricity. first car. 
England
remained behind France and Germany on manufacture of cars. The first
"Daimler", created by Englishmen, has appeared in 1897. It
represented only a model copy "Panhard et Levassor", equipped with
engines "Daimler" which were originally imported from Germany.
While
in Germany Benz worried crisis, and the Daimler, despite of
everything, aspired to perfection of the models, France has accepted
relay race of the technical initiative. The firm "Panhard et
Levassor" which first specialised on release of tape saws and
processing machine tools was the strongest.
